A 1 M solution of tetrabutylammonium fluoride in tetrahydrofuran (1.33 mL, 1.33 mmol) was added to 2-[4-(1-ethyl-1-{3-methyl-4-[2-(1-trimethylsilanyloxy-cyclopentyl)-ethyl]-phenyl}-propyl)-2-methyl-phenyl]-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-[1,3,2]dioxaborolane (Example 34-(1); 0.25 g, 0.48 mmol), and the mixture was stirred for three hours. The reaction mixture was purified by silica gel chromatography (14% ethyl acetate/hexane) to give the title compound (0.12 g, 53%).
