2-[(3aR,4R,6R,6aR)-6-(6-chloro-9H-purin-9-yl)-2,2-dimethyltetrahydrofuro[3,4-d][1,3]dioxol-4-yl]ethanesulfonyl chloride (100.0 mg, 0.0002362 mol) was dissolved in N,N-Dimethylformamide (2.0 mL). 7.00 M of Ammonia in Methanol (0.500 mL) was added at 0° C. and the mixture was stirred for 30 minutes, allowing to warm to room temperature. The reaction was concentrated in vacuo and the residue was diluted with brine and extracted with EtOAc. The organic phase was brine washed, water washed and evaporated. The residue was purified by flash chromatography (0 to 100% EtOAc/Hexanes) to yield the product (40 mg, 42%).
