Reaction Steps
3-[4-(3-oxo-3-pyridin-3-yl-propenyl)-phenyl]-acrylic acid tert-butyl ester (680 mg, 2.03 mmol) was dissolved in DCM (15 ml) and TFA (5 ml). The resulting solution was stirred at room temperature for 4 h then the solvent was removed under vacuo giving 600 mg of 3-[4-(3-oxo-3-pyridin-3-yl-propenyl)-phenyl]-acrylic acid as trifluoro acetate salt.
