Prepared from 3-bromo-7-difluoromethyl-5-(3-ethoxy-phenyl)-pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine (example C.19 step 3a) (20.0 g, 54 mmol) and commercially available trimethylsilylacetylene (15 mL, 109 mmol) as described in example C.1 step 3a to give the title compound (20 g, 95%) as a light brown solid. MS (ISP) 386 [(M+H)+].
