PROCEDURE

A solution of tert-butyl 3-fluoro-4-(thiazol-4-yl)phenylcarbamate (270 mg, 0.92 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (2 mL) and TFA (4 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 60 min. It was then concentrated in vacuo. The residue was dissolved in CH2Cl2 (20 mL), which was washed with 5% NaHCO3, dried over Na2SO4, concentrated in vacuo to give 3-fluoro-4-(thiazol-4-yl)benzenamine (145 mg) as free base. MS 195.2 (M+H)
