Following the procedure as described in Example 5, making variations to replace benzyl bromide with 4-(trifluoromethyl)benzyl bromide to react with ethyl 4-methyl-2-(2-oxoimidazolidin-1-yl)thiazole-5-carboxylate, the title compound was obtained in 92% yield: mp 126-127° C.; 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 7.70 (d, J=8.1 Hz, 2H), 7.51 (d, J=8.1 Hz, 2H), 4.51 (s, 2H), 4.17 (q, J=6.9 Hz, 2H), 4.00 (t, J=8.1 Hz, 2H), 3.47 (t, J=8.1 Hz, 2H), 2.49 (s, 3H), 1.23 (t, J=6.9 Hz, 3H); MS (ES+) m/z 414.1 (M+1).
