Following the procedure as described in Example 13, making variations as required to replace 4-(trifluoromethyl)benzyl bromide with (bromomethyl)cyclopropane to react with ethyl 3-methyl-5-(2-oxoimidazolidin-1-yl)thiophene-2-carboxylate, the title compound was obtained as a colorless solid in 80% yield: 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ 6.14 (s, 1H), 4.26 (q, J=7.1 Hz, 2H), 3.87-3.79 (m, 2H), 3.72-3.64 (m, 2H), 3.18 (d, J=7.1 Hz, 2H), 2.49 (s, 3H), 1.33 (t, J=7.1 Hz, 3H), 1.02-0.87 (m, 1H), 0.60-0.52 (m, 2H), 0.28-0.21 (m, 2H); MS (ES+) m/z 309.2 (M+1).
