Procedure

Dissolve [4-(2-{5-fluoro-2-[2-(2-oxo-imidazolidin-1-yl)-ethylamino]-pyrimidin-4-yl}-benzo[b]thiophen-7-yl)-6-fluoro-pyridin-3-ylmethyl]-methyl-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (0.19 g, 0.32 mmol) in dry CH2Cl2 (1.4 mL) and CF3COOH (1.4 mL). Stir at room temperature for 1 hour. Remove solvent completely. Dilute the trifluoro-acetic acid salt with CH2Cl2. Wash with saturated NaHCO3 solution, water and saturated aqueous sodium chloride. Dry with MgSO4. After filtration, remove solvent. Dry in vacuo overnight to afford the title compound (0.12 g, 78%). MS (ES) m/z 495 [M+1]+.
