A mixture of 8 (100 mg, 0.24 mmol) and NaCN (117 mg, 2.4 mmol) in DMSO (2 mL) was stirred at 120° C. for 2 h. The reaction mixture was cooled and freeze-dried overnight. The crude product was purified by column chromatography (CH2Cl2: EtOAc 10:1) to yield 9 (71 mg, 80%) as a yellow solid.
