A mixture of 3-bromo-4,5-dihydroisoxazole-5-carboxamide (1.5 g, 7.77 mmol), 4-(2-bromo-5-fluorophenoxy)piperidine (2.56 g, 9.33 mmol) and N,N-diisopropylethylamine (3.5 mL, 20.04 mmol) in ethanol (15 mL) was heated at reflux temperature overnight. Solvent was then removed in vacuo. The residue was suspended in water and stirred for 1 h. The solid was collected, washed with water and Et2O. Drying under vacuum gave the title compound as a light brown powder.
