To a suspension of (5R)-5-[(3-{5-[4-(2-bromo-5-fluorophenoxy)piperidin-1-yl]-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl}-1,2,4-oxadiazol-5-yl)methyl]-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-one (200 mg, 0.36 mmol) in MeOH (5 mL) was added KOH (61 mg, 1.08 mmol). The resulted solution was stirred at rt overnight, adjusted to pH 1 with HCl solution (1 mol/L), and then extracted with EtOAc. The combined organic layers were dried over anhydrous Na2SO4, filtered and evaporated in vacuo. The crude product was purified by preparative HPLC to afford the title compound.
