Procedure

Dibutyltin oxide was heated to 190° C. in diphenyl ether and then butanol was dropwise added thereto. Water produced by the reaction and excess butanol were distilled out, whereby a diphenyl ether solution of dibutyltin dibutoxide was prepared.
