1-(5-(4-Bromo-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)furan-2-yl)-2-methoxy-2-(4-(5-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)phenyl)ethanone was prepared from 2-(4-bromo-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)furan and N,2-dimethoxy-N-methyl-2-(4-(5-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)phenyl)acetamide according to the procedure used in Example 30. Purification by chromatography (70% EtOAc/hexanes) gave the product as a pale yellow solid (0.044 g, 15% yield). MS: m/z 529.3 [M+H]+.
