Reaction Steps
A mixture of 2-chloro-4-(3-methylphenyl)-5-(4-pyridyl)pyridine (13 mg) and 3-phenylpropylamine (5 drops) was heated to 160° C. for 2 hr. The cooled reaction mixture was subjected to chromatographic purification (silica gel, methanol/methylene chloride) to give the title compound.
