384 mg (789 μmol) of tert-butyl 2-[4-(5-chloro-2-cyanophenyl)-5-methoxy-2-oxopyridin-1(2H)-yl]-4-(trifluoromethoxy)butanoate (racemate) in 7.9 ml of dichloromethane and 2.28 ml (29.6 mmol) of TFA were reacted according to General Method 6A. Yield: 330 mg (96% of theory)
