The following compound, m.p.>350°, was prepared similarly to the previous Example, starting from 2-methoxy-8-methyl-6-(1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)-quinoline and 5M HCl, except that, after refluxing the methoxy starting material with 5M HCl and cooling, the hydrochloride 1/4 hydrate crystallised out of solution and was filtered off and dried. ##STR60##
