275 mg (599 μmol) of tert-butyl 2-[4-(5-chloro-2-cyanophenyl)-5-methoxy-2-oxopyridin-1(2H)-yl]-3-(3-ethyloxetan-3-yl)propanoate (racemate) and 3 ml of aqueous lithium hydroxide solution (1N) were reacted according to General Method 6B, giving the title compound. Yield: 193 mg (76% of theory)
