Procedure

A mixture of EXAMPLE 446A (1.0 g), acetic anhydride (0.734 mL), and potassium acetate (0.428 g) in toluene (20 mL) was stirred at room temperature for three hours. To the flask was added isoamyl nitrite (1.03 mL). The reaction mixture was heated at 80° C. for 16 hours. The solvent was removed, and the residue was purified by flash column chromatography on silica gel to give the title compound.
