A mixture of 2-(methylsulfanyl)-3H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridine (600 mg) and 2,2-difluoroethyl trifluoromethanesulfonate (816 mg) in DMF (7 mL) was stirred at 80° C. for 3 h, treated with water, and extracted with AcOEt. The organic layer was dried over MgSO4 and concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound (400 mg).
