4′-Chlorobiphenyl-2-carboxaldehyde (4.1 g), tert-butyl piperazine-1-carboxylate (4.23 g), and sodium triacetoxyborohydride (5.61 g) in CH2Cl2 (60 mL) were stirred for 24 hours.
