0.5 mmol of 5-methyl-4-((3-phenyl-isoxazol-5-yl)-methoxy-)-thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine was added in 20 ml of 5% mixing solution of hydrochloric acid solution and methanol (V:V, 1:1). Then the mixture was dissolved under stirring with slightly heating and slowly evaporated at room temperature to afford 5-methyl-4-((3-phenyl-isoxazol-5-yl)-methoxy-)-thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine hydrochloride as a white solid in 72% yield.
