Reaction Steps
2.45 g of palmitic acid were dissolved in 10 ml of dichloromethane. Thereafter, 0.88 g (0.5 cmole) of ascorbic acid and 1.57 g (0.5 cmole) of ranitidine were added. The mixture was stirred for 3 hours at room temperature, was filtered and washed with the same liquors. Dry weight: 3.56 g. This solid is unaltered by ambient conditions.
