One gram of (E) [2-methoxy-4-(2-nitro-1-propenyl) phenoxy]acetic acid is dissolved in 35.6 ml of 0.1N sodium bicarbonate and sufficient isotonic buffer to make a final volume of 100 ml. The water from all souces was pyrogen free. The solution is sterilized by filtration. This solution is 3.56 mM in active antisickling agent.
