A mixture of 3-bromo-5-(morpholine-4-carbonyl)pyridin-2(1H)-one (430 mg, 1.498 mmol), iodomethane (0.112 mL, 1.797 mmol), and potassium carbonate (207 mg, 1.498 mmol) in DMSO (5 mL) was stirred at room temperature overnight. The reaction mixture was subsequently filtered and purified via preparative HPLC, eluting with a gradient of 30-70% ACN in H2O (containing 10 mM NH4HCO3) to give the title compound.
