A mixture of 1-cyclopropyl-6,7,8-trifluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-3-quinolinecarboxylic acid (0.5 g), anhydrous acetonitrile (6 ml), cis-3-t-butoxycarbonylamino-4-methylpyrrolidine (0.53 g) and DBU (0.27 g) was refluxed for an hour and the resulting precipitate was collected by filtration to give the title compound (0.72 g) as pale yellowish powder, mp 229°-230° C. Analysis (%) for C23H27F2N3O5, Calcd. (Found): C, 59.60 (59.47); H, 5.87 (5.85); N, 9.07 (9.01).
