2.8 g (0.032 mol) of cyclopentanone are added to 2.0 g (0.007 mol) of methyl 2-(N-tert-butylsulfamoyl)-4-hydrazinobenzoate in 100 ml of methanol and the mixture is subsequently stirred at 65° C. for 3 hours. It is evaporated and the residue is triturated with a little methanol. After filtering off with suction and drying, 1.3 g (51% of theory) of methyl 2-(N-tert-butyl-sulfamoyl)-4-cyclopentylidenehydrazinobenzoate are obtained.
