Procedure
A mixture of 27 from Example 6 (3.9 g, 12.9 mmol) and benzeneseleninic acid (3.04 g, 16.1 mmol) in toluene is stirred at 70° C. over night. The product precipitates upon cooling. The precipitate is filtered off, washed with petroleum ether and dried. Subsequent washings with aqueous sodium carbonate and water affords pure 28. Yield: 2.99 g (77%). Mp 179-181° C.
