Procedure

DDQ (33 mg, 0.15 mmol) was added to a solution of 3-(3-bromobenzo[b]furan-2-yl)-8-(1-ethylpropyl)-2,5-dimethyl-7,8-dihydro-6H-pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrrolo[3,2-e]pyrimidine (60 mg, 0.13 mmol) in methylene chloride (10 mL) at room temperature, followed by stirring for one hour. After overnight, the residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (10% ethyl acetate/hexane), to give the title compound (40 mg) as a reddish brown oil.
