To tert-butyl ((S)-3-cyclopropyl-1-(((S)-1-((R)-2-methyloxiran-2-yl)-1-oxo-3-phenylpropan-2-yl)amino)-1-oxopropan-2-yl)carbamate (663 mg, 1.59 mmol) was added DCM (2.5 mL) and TFA (2.5 mL). The mixture was allowed to stand at ambient temperature for 30 min before it was concentrated to provide (S)-2-amino-3-cyclopropyl-N-((S)-1-((R)-2-methyloxiran-2-yl)-1-oxo-3-phenylpropan-2-yl)propanamide TFA salt (657 mg, quant.) as a yellow oil that was carried forward without further purification. MS (EI) for C20H24F3N2O4, found 317.2 [M-TFA]+.
