The reaction mixture was diluted with ether, the solid filtered, washed with ether, and dried under vacuo to afford 1.86 g of compound 6-D as a white solid. 1H NMR (CD3OD, 300 MHz): δ 7.61-7.83 (m, 3H), 7.52 (d, 1H), 7.26-7.39 (m, 2H), 7.10-7.26 (m, 1H), 4.57 (s, 2H), 2.22 (s, 3H); MS (method 2): m/z 340.0 (MH+); HPLC (method 1): Rt 6.78 minutes.
