Procedure
To a mixture of methyl(7-acetyl-6-((2,4-dichlorobenzyl)oxy)-1-benzofuran-3-yl)acetate (100 mg) in MeOH (2.5 mL) was added NaBH4 (10.2 mg). The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 20 min. The mixture was quenched with water. The resulting solid was collected by filtration to give the title compound (89 mg).
