Procedure
A mixture of 4-iodo-1H-pyrazole (1 g, 5 mmol), 6-(bromomethyl)-1,3-oxazinan-2-one (1 g, 5 mmol), cesium carbonate (3.2 g, 10 mmol) and potassium iodide (20 mg, 0.1 mmol) in DMF (80 mL) was stirred at 80° C. for 12 hours. After cooling to room temperature, the mixture was diluted with water and extracted with DCM. The organic layer was concentrated under reduced pressure to afford 6-((4-iodo-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)methyl)-1,3-oxazinan-2-one. MS ESI calc'd. for C8H11IN3O2 [M+H]+ 308. found 308.
