Procedure
To a solution of 3-bromo-5-(piperidin-4-yl)pyrazin-2-amine (60 mg, 0.233 mmol) in DCM (2 mL) in ice bath was added DIEA (408 μl, 2.333 mmol) and methyl chloroformate (18.07 μl, 0.233 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred under ice bath for 30 min. The reaction mixture was partitioned between DCM and water. The organic layer was separated and washed with brine, dried over sodium sulfate, filtered off, and evaporated in vacuo. The crude methyl 4-(5-amino-6-bromopyrazin-2-yl)piperidine-1-carboxylate was used for next step. LCMS (m/z): 315.0/317.0 (MH+), 0.647 min.
