To a mixture of crude methyl 4-(3-amino-6-(piperidin-3-yl)pyrazin-2-yl)-2-fluorobenzoate (38 mg, 0.114 mmol) in DCM (2 mL) in an ice bath was added DIEA (79 μL, 0.454 mmol) followed by methanesulfonyl chloride (9.73 μL, 0.125 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at 0° C. for 30 min. The reaction mixture was partitioned between DCM and water. The DCM layer was separated and washed with brine. The organic layer was dried over sodium sulfate, filtered and evaporated. The crude product (50% purity) was proceeded to next step. LCMS (m/z): 409.1 (MH+), 0.721 min.
