To a solution of 4-[2,5-dioxo-1-(3-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8-octahydro-quinazolin-4-yl]-3-methanesulfonyl-benzonitrile (INTERMEDIATE 18, 150 mg, 0.28 mmol) in DMF (3.0 mL) is added cesium carbonate (178 mg, 0.55 mmol) and 3-bromomethyl-oxetane (83 mg, 0.55 mmol) and the mixture is stirred at 50° C. over night. The reaction mixture is diluted with DMF and water and purified by reversed phase HPLC (Waters SunFire™-C18, gradient of acetonitrile in water, 0.1% TFA). Yield: 35.5 mg; ESI mass spectrum [M+H]+=560; Retention time HPLC: 1.04 min (Z018_S04).
