To a solution of 210 mg (0.59 mmol) of tert-butyl 3-[1-(3,5-difluorophenyl)-1-hydroxy-2,2-dimethylpropyl]azetidine-1-carboxylate (2) in 1 mL of CH2Cl2, 1.5 mL of TFA was added and the solution was stirred for 1 h at rt. It was concentrated and washed with ether to afford the title compound as white solid; Mass Spectrum: m/e=256 (M+1).
