Procedure

4-(1,3-Benzodioxol-5-yl)-2-chloropyrimidine (Example 290, 108 mg, 0.46 mmol) and ethyl [(1S)-5-(3-aminopropoxy)-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-yl]acetate trifluoroacetate (Example 263, 277 mg, 0.418 mmol) were dissolved in MeCN (2.6 mL) and 1,4-dioxane (2.6 mL), after which triethylamine (0.175 mL) was added. The reaction mixture was stirred at 90° C. for 18 h, and then cooled to rt. The solvents removed under reduced pressure, and the residue was purified by silica gel flash chromatography (1:2 EtOAc/Hexanes) to give the title compound (136 mg, 69%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3): δ 1.32 (t, 3H), 1.70-1.79 (m, 1H), 2.15-2.20 (m, 2H), 2.30-2.51 (m, 2H), 2.73 (dd, 1H), 2.80-2.95 (m, 2H), 3.55-3.64 (m, 1H), 3.74 (q, 2H), 4.14 (t, 2H), 4.22 (q, 2H), 5.42 (s, 1H), 6.01 (s, 1H), 6.65 (d, 1H), 6.75 (s, 1H), 6.90 (d, 2H), 7.05 (d, 1H), 7.20 (d, 2H), 8.15 (s, 1H), 8.25 (d, 1H); LC-MS: RT=2.80 min, (M+H)+ 506.3.
