2-[4-({4-[5-(6-Methoxypyridin-3-yl)-4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl]piperidin-1-yl}methyl)phenyl]-3-phenyl-1,6-naphthyridin-5(6H)-one (300 mg, 0.5 mmol) was dissolved in 6 M aqueous HCl (10 mL) and heated at 120° C. for 16 h. The solvents were evaporated under vacuum and the yellow residue was dried under high vacuum for 16 h to give 2-[4-({4-[5-(6-hydroxypyridin-3-yl)-4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl]piperidin-1-yl}methyl)phenyl]-3-phenyl-1,6-naphthyridin-5(6H)-one. NMR (MeOD): δ 9.16 (1H, bs), 8.61 (1H, bs), 8.28 (1H, bs) 7.91-6.85 (12H, bm), 4.52 (2H, bs), 3.61-3.38 (6H, bm), 2.15 (3H, bm). m/e (m+1): 556.1.
