Procedure

A mixture of N-{4-[4-(4-amino-7-tert-butylpyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-5-yl)phenoxy]-phenyl}acetamide (1.8 g), prepared as described in Example 9, industrial methylated spirit (5 ml) and hydrazine hydrate (30 ml) was boiled under reflux for 36 hours. The reaction mixture was cooled to ambient temperature, diluted with water (100 ml) and the mixture extracted with ethyl acetate (3×50 ml) to give 5-[4-(4-amino-phenoxy)phenyl]-7-tert-butyl-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-ylamine. The structure was confirmed by 1H nmr.
