Procedure

To a solution of 2-(1-methyl-2-(R)-pyrrolidinyl)-6-(bromo)-furo[3,2-b]pyridine from Example 47 in toluene are added (5-methyl3-pyridyl)tributyltin and tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(O). After being refluxed overnight, the resulting mixture is cooled to room temperature. Solvent is removed, and the residue is chromatographed on a silica gel column.
