Procedure

8.63 parts of β-semicarbazido-propionic acid hydrazide dissolved in 17 parts of water and 450 parts of dimethylformamide were reacted with 215 parts of isocyanate prepolymer (prepared as in Example 2, isocyanate content 2.62% in the solid substance), and 210 parts of dimethylformamide and 4% TiO2 were added. The elastomeric solution had a viscosity of 640 poises. ηi- value 1.15.
