Procedure

N-(2,2-Diethoxyethyl)acetamidine was synthesized in the same manner as in Reference Example 2. That is, ethyl acetimidate hydrochloride (25.0 g, 0.202 mol) was reacted with aminoacetaldehyde diethyl acetal (31 mL, 0.21 mol) in ethanol (150 mL) to give 44.1 g of a pale-green oil containing the target compound.
