Reaction Steps
0.022 of 2-(2,3-epoxypropyl)isoindole-1,3(2H)dione, 0.02 mol of 1-(5-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-pyrimidinyl)piperazine and 70 ml of isopropanol are heated to boiling for 2 hours. The mixture is evaporated and the residue is purified by column chromatography on silica gel 60. After elution with methylene chloride/alcohol (96:4), the compound is stirred with alcohol and filtered off with suction.
