Procedure
Four and six-tenths grams of 2-(3-trifluoromethyl-4-chlorophenyl)-5-ethyl-1,3-oxazolidine was combined with 1.5 g of isopropyl isocyanate in 25 ml of anhydrous acetone and allowed to stand overnight protected form moisture. The mixture was stripped on the rotary evaporator giving a gum. The structure was confirmed by NMR and infrared spectroscopy.
