To a solution of tert-butyl 2-((2S,5R)-6-(benzyloxy)-2-carbamoyl-7-oxo-1,6-diazabicyclo[3.2.1]oct-3-en-4-yl)ethylcarbamate (Intermediate 227, 0.300 g, 0.72 mmol) in EtOAc (5 mL) was added 10% Pd/C (0.077 g, 0.72 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred under hydrogen for 30 minutes. The reaction mixture was filtered through celite and washed with EtOAc. The solvent was removed in vacuo to give the title compound as a white solid (0.23 g, 98%).
