A solution of Boc-L-HomoSer(O-allyl)-OH (4.50 g, 17.4 mmol) in HCl/MeOH (50 mL) was stirred at 20° C. for 6 hrs. The solvent was removed at reduced pressure to give Boc-L-HomoSer(allyl)-OMe HCl (3.60 g, 98.9%).
