6-sec-Butylsulfanyl-pyridine-2-carboxylic acid ethyl ester (0.17 g, 0.71 mmol) obtained in Step A was dissolved in anhydrous THF (3 mL). 2.0 M LiBH4 solution (0.5 mL, 1.0 mmol) was added thereto, and the mixture was stirred at 40° C. for 1 hour. After the termination of the reaction, the reactant was cooled to room temperature. The reactant was added with water and then extracted with EtOAc. The organic layer was separated, dried with MgSO4, and concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain the title compound (0.126 g, 90%).
