Procedure

Lithium aluminium hydride solution (2M in THF, 1.64 mL, 3.28 mmol) was added to a solution of Intermediate 84d (550 mg, 1.64 mmol) in THF (15.0 mL) at −10° C. The reaction was stirred for 1 h then quenched by dropwise addition of water (125 μL), sodium hydroxide (3M aqueous, 125 μL) and water (375 μL). The reaction was stirred for 10 min then partitioned between EtOAc and water. The aqueous layer was then extracted with EtOAc (3×). The combined organic layers were washed with brine, dried (MgSO4), filtered and evaporated in vacuo. The residue was purified by FCC, using 2-10% (2M NH3 in MeOH) in DCM, to give the title compound (145 mg, 33%). LCMS (Method 4): Rt 0.32 mins, m/z 265.2 [MH+].
