A mixture of 5-amino-2-chlorophenol (1.0 g, 6.97 mmol) and 5-tert-butyl-3isocyanatoisoxazole (1.16 g, 6.97 mmol) in toluene (40 mL) was heated at 70° C. overnight. It was purified by silica gel chromatography with 0-25% EtOAc/hexane as eluants to afford 1-(5-tert-butylisoxazol-3-yl)-3-(4-chloro-3-hydroxyphenyl)urea as solid.
