Using the procedure described in Example 306A, to a solution of 3-isopropyl-1-(pyridin-3-yl)-1H-pyrazol-5-amine (179 mg, 0.89 mmol) and potassium carbonate (159 mg, 1.2 mmol) in anhydrous DCM (3 ml) was added dropwise phenyl chloroformate (0.33 ml, 2.6 mmol) as a solution in DCM (0.2 ml). The crude was purified by silica gel chromatography (DCM/MeOH 0-10%) to afford phenyl 3-isopropyl-1-(pyridin-3-yl)-1H-pyrazol-5-ylcarbamate (217 mg, 76%). 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ 1.29 (s, 6H), 2.99 (m, 1H), 6.39 (s, 1H), 6.67 (s, 1H), 7.08-7.32 (m, 6H), 7.99 (d, J=7 Hz, 1H), 8.34 (s, 1H), 8.45 (d, J=7 Hz, 1H); LC-MS (ESI) m/z 323 (M+H)+.
